Bad Credit

If your credit is below 650, you’ve probably got a few serious blemishes on your credit record.  With the recession of the past few years, lots of people have lost jobs, homes, cars, etc., and it’s wreaked havoc on their credit rating, too.  Where do you begin to rebuild your credit rating?  One of the best places to start is with a credit card that is designed for people with bad credit.  Yes, the interest rate may be a bit higher, you may have to accept paying an annual fee, or you may even need to start with a secured or prepaid credit card, but you can still get a credit card.

And, once you’ve gotten your credit card, make sure that you make your payments on time, stay well within your credit limit, and keep working on the other things on your credit record that you can improve.   Over time, this kind of dedicated attention to your credit rating will improve your overall score, and you’ll be able to qualify for credit line increases, better interest rates, and even credit cards from other credit card companies.

All it takes is that first step…apply for a credit card!
